Speaker: Tammera Karr
Friday, May 5 | 3:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. | Breakout Session #3
Just the Labs Please
As holistic nutritionists integrate more into allopathic practices it is important to learn and utilize standard lab tests provided as part of clients’ medical history. The nation’s leading laboratories, have thousands of tests to offer, but few of them are used and many do not provide accurate information when making recommendations for food and nutrients. Participants will be introduced to standard lab tests in report format, highlighted areas will be discussed on kidney health, anemia, b vitamins, vitamin D, vitamin K and basic hormones. Recommendation for food and nutrients for each client reflect information provided in labs and medication history. Four case studies and related protocols will be journey through, HighCholesterol, Anemia, Chronic Kidney Disease and Age Related Dementia.
