About Chef Josh Silva-Arias
Chef Josh Silva-Arias grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His passion for food started when he was 15, while working for a part time a pizza shop.
Chef Josh graduated with pastries internship from the Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania in 1994. After developing a keen eye to detail, he participated in the Hotel Hershey chocolate fest competition and won first place in three different categories.
After working for the Hotel Hershey for two years, he joined the Marriott Hotel in Harrisburg, then moved to Philadelphia, where he worked in several locations - West Conshohocken, Philadelphia Downton Marriott. He also worked for the The Marriott Marquis in NYC, Monterey Marriott, and the Harbor Beach Marriott in Florida.
Chef Josh has been working for Marriott for 18+ years. It’s where he finds the fuel for his continuous commitment and spirit to serve the employees, guests and the community.

Food Sourcing & Preparation Guidelines
None of the following items will be used in preparing any foods. All cooking surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned to ensure no cross-contact, and meals with these ingredients will not be prepared in the same kitchen area as the meals prepared for the Group.
Expectations of the meals:
